Description
The Mitutoyo 500-197-30 ABSOLUTE Digimatic Caliper combines precision and durability with a hardened stainless-steel frame and carbide-tipped jaws that cover inside, outside, depth, and step measurements. Thanks to its ABSOLUTE (electromagnetic induction) encoder, zero reset isn't needed after power-up, and the system resists overspeed errors and contamination. It offers 0.0005" resolution (0.01 mm), 0.001" accuracy, and repeatability, displayed on a large, easy-to-read LCD that toggles between inch and metric. The smooth thumb-roller, bezel and jaw lock screws, and fitted case add to its user-friendly design, while battery life extends to approximately 3.5 years under typical use.
